InDrive Cashless Launch – V&A Waterfront Video Projection
We had the pleasure of bringing a large-scale projection mapping event to life for the launch of inDrive’s new cashless payment feature within their e-hailing app.
It was an exciting opportunity from the outset. inDrive has become a much-loved service in South Africa, earning its reputation through a flexible bid-pricing model that puts riders and drivers in control. Creating a buzz around the rollout of their cashless option called for something bold and memorable, and projection mapping offered exactly that kind of impact.
The project came with its share of challenges. Weather-related postponements meant we had to stay flexible on timing, which we were glad to accommodate on the client’s behalf. Throughout, the V&A Waterfront was exceptionally supportive, granting us access to the historic Old Port Masters Building, also known as the Trading Post, and backing us with the infrastructure and power the installation required. We have a long and rewarding history of working with the V&A Waterfront, including projects on the Zeitz MOCAA rooftop at the silos and on the Trading Post, and it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with their team.
Our client, Freshive, worked closely with us to optimise the content for maximum visibility and impact across the building façade. The result was a genuine meeting of creative vision and technical execution, and we were delighted with the final outcome.
We’re always open to helping clients realise projects of this scale and ambition. Thanks to our close relationship with the venue, we’re well positioned to facilitate bookings and make ambitious projection concepts a reality.
